March 2008

Dear Friends of the Opera House,
We’re sending our 2008 Schedule of Events so you can anticipate another entertaining season at the Lake Benton Opera House. We think you will enjoy the line-up we have planned for you at the historic theatre.
The highlights of our season include our three main productions, “Barefoot in the Park” opening April 18th, Disney’s “High School Musical” opening July 24th, and “Little Shop of Horrors” opening
October 2nd.
Our season kickoff will be March 29th when the “Broadway Meets Lake Benton” musical revue returns by popular demand. Come enjoy some of Broadway’s favorite musical numbers performed by actors and actresses who have appeared in previous musicals.
Improvements continue to be made at our century-old facility. We recently completed a $20,000 renovation project, remodeling the interior of the adjacent Kimball Building, which houses our “green room,” for our actors and actresses. What a wonderful transformation it turned out to be! We still have many projects on our wish list, including improvements to bathrooms, sound booth, exterior, and air conditioning. We once again look to our generous patrons for monetary donations. Any support we receive from you would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
The Opera House Board of Directors

We are glad so many of you are interested in what goes on at the Lake Benton Opera House. Your attendance and support are important in our continuing endeavor to bring the arts to the area and to provide a facility where community events can take place. You are greatly appreciated!
